KTRK-TV, the ABC O&O located in Houston, TX is looking for a SPORTS PRODUCER to be responsible for gathering, shooting, writing, editing and producing content from the field or inside the newsroom to be presented on multiple platforms including on-air and online. The ideal candidate would be proficient in enterprising sports stories, shooting footage, proficient in ENG/SNG technology, writing content and using production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories and produce well-paced segments under daily pressure. Must be a solid live presenter and be web savvy and can be used as a news gathering asset when called upon by management. Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of television reporting/photography experience; with a college degree in journalism or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, must demonstrate experience in shooting, writing, editing and on-air presentation skills as well as have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
