Sandra Connell, President
Sandra leads a team of media specialists and coaches that serve our station clients, networks, syndicators, business and broadcast professionals worldwide. She is admired as a leader in the television news business for her integrity, expertise and her influence in countless careers over three decades. Sandra is the architect of the most sophisticated database and video library in the television industry with background information on over 40,000 broadcasters. Her unparalleled contacts with media representatives and executives have put Talent Dynamics in the top tier of media recruiting and coaching companies in the US and abroad.


Lynn Gartley

Lynn Gartley, Executive Vice President, Coaching Services
In addition to a full range of clients in television and business, Lynn also coordinates the activities and curriculum of the Coaching Services. She has worked in communications, teaching and coaching for over 30 years. Over the course of her career, she has developed and conducted a number of workshops for clients at television stations and state and national organizations. Lynn has also produced and directed entertainment programs, documentaries and series for sweeps. She holds a Ph D. and has had a successful career in university teaching at Northwestern University and Southern Methodist University, and serves as a consultant to university programs in television and journalism.

JJ Davis

JJ Davis, Vice President
JJ is a 30-year broadcasting veteran who has served Talent Dynamics’ clients since 1997. She works primarily with News and Promotion managers, executive producers and producers.  She started her career in various on-air and off-air positions, and has over a dozen ADDY awards for her achievements as a Promotion Manager and Creative Services Director. For years broadcasters looking for new challenges have relied on JJ’s knowledge and keen sense of people to match them with the right career opportunities. She started as a Placement Specialist with Talent Dynamics, and was promoted to the position of Vice President in 2000.

Lou Michaels

Lou Michaels, Coaching Spec ialist
For over 20 years Lou has coached television news broadcasters, corporate executives, professional speakers and actors.  Her warmth,  energy, focus and her professionalism are appreciated by clients worldwide.  Lou works with television news talent to connect with the viewer by developing the broadcasters’ credibility through a compelling delivery and an engaging presence. Lou also works with executives of international and Fortune 500 companies, to help them handle any business situation with confidence, ease and credibility. Her business, executive and professional coaching includes: media training, presentation skills, keynote speaking and speech editing, power point presentation and the communication skill sets necessary to transition up within the organization.

Rob Willman

Rob Willman, Director of Web and Video Operations
Rob brings over 25 years of experience in both the broadcast and corporate communications world.  He was previously a news and sports anchor, and his time in sports afforded him the opportunity to keep his shooting and editing skills sharp.  Rob most recently produced and anchored training videos for the medical, law enforcement and emergency responder professions.  He is still active in the local freelance world as a shooter, reporter and play-by-play announcer.  A Dallas native, Rob holds a degree in Radio/TV/Film from the University of North Texas.

Christina Hedding

Christina Hedding, Operations Manager
Christina oversees various aspects of the day to day operations at Talent Dynamics.  She works closely with our client HR Departments to make sure their job openings are maintained properly on the Talent Dynamics Jobs Page. She also monitors and edits newscasts from television markets for the Talent Dynamics National Talent Library. Christina studied dance at The University of Texas at Austin and is still active in the dance world as a teacher, contest administrator and adjudicator at dance/drill team competitions and auditions nationwide. 

Barry Carpenter

Barry Carpenter, Coaching Specialist
Barry Carpenter brings 25 years of television newsroom experience with him to Talent Dynamics. His career started as a sports anchor-reporter in Redding, California. During a stop in New Mexico, Barry won the Associated Press Award for the best sports story in the state. Barry then switched to news in El Paso and Tucson before becoming an Emmy Award winning reporter in Dallas. Barry has a passion for helping people in their television careers from guiding college students through their internships to joining a panel of experts at a Texas Association of Broadcasters workshop at SMU. Now, Barry is thrilled to join the best team in the business, Talent Dynamics.

Marlene Kierbow

Marlene Keirbow, Coaching Specialist
Marlene is a
 Broadcast Journalism professional with over 30 years in the news and corporate communications industry. Most recently she worked as a weekend trafic anchor for WFAA in Dallas. With a background in front and behind the lens, she has anchored, directed and produced thousands of hours of live and pre-taped broadcast and multi-media events for a number of clients. Starting in radio and news at an early age, she continues to love good story telling and creating conversation with the viewers. She has managed numerous live broadcasts, webcasts and video productions, coaching hundreds who have never been in front of the camera or read a teleprompter before.

Julie Pumphrey

Julie PumphreyPlacement Specialist
Julie works primarily with female and weather talent.  She also communicates daily with our Senior Recruiters, updating them for the talent searches we conduct for our clients.  Julie studied Foreign Language at The University of Alaska and later went on to work for many years in the marketing, print and promotional product industry as an Account Manager.  She is thrilled to be a part of the Talent Dynamics team!. 


Debra Annick



Debra Damiano Annick, Placement Specialist
Debra is a Placement Specialist at Talent Dynamics where she works primarily with male on-air talent. This is a natural evolution of her more than 20 years of experience as an anchor and reporter. She began her career in Binghamton, New York and worked locally in Dallas.  She eventually put down the microphone and started teaching young TV journalists the tools of the trade.  She continues to consult with schools that have television programs and often is a guest lecturer.
